If you should be reading this article you're probably trying to find or are enthusiastic about become a videogame tester. I am going to tell you how I acquired started as well as the professionals and cons of testing video games.

I was within my 3rd year of my civil engineering degree when I began my career as a videogames tester, and for people that don't know, civil engineering students have very limited spare/free time for virtually anything. So my options workwise were extremely limited. A pal of mine recommended being a videogame tester (knowing how much I enjoyed my gaming), he'd started up as a videogames tester a couple of months before mentioning this idea to me and had only good what to say about his experience thus far. Me being the cautious/need all the important points sort of guy that I am started doing some research and within a few hours was convinced that that is something I'd enjoy doing. It took me a few hours to lookup all the necessary research but I am writing this article in an effort to try and help you guys cut fully out all that research time.

The professionals of being a videogame tester for me personally where:

  1. Getting paid to play games (no brainer with this particular one).
  2. Flexible working hours, you can chose when, for the length of time and how frequently you would like to work (if you may even call doing offers "working").
  3. You are most likely among the first people to really get your practical new material and games.
  4. There is no shitty boss suggesting what direction to go and yelling in your in the whole day.
  5. You receive paid to write reviews of the games you've played
  6. The more reviews you write the more your opinion matters to game manufacturers
  7. All videogame testers start out at the same level, and so the more you play and the more experience you have the higher your stature will undoubtedly be within the overall game testing community.
